I had one who worked on my backbone (or the muscles around there); she put quite a lot of pressure in that area with her thumb. What does that really accomplish? Why do massage therapists use so much pressure?
If it's too much pressure for you, speak up. Each type of massage (swedish, accupressure, etc.) has different strokes and different goals. Feel free to converse with your therapist as she works.
The more feedback she gets from you, the more she can help. Just ask her about what's she's doing and why.Why do massage therapists use so much pressure?
the place they are pushing is fluid. Its like squeezing a spounge when they press on it. On a scale from one to ten always keep the pressure at a seven. They cant tell you how much pressure they are useing. most clients prefer deep tissue to believe me when I say if a client wanted me to do a light massage I would be more than happy to
i think its so they can remove/dissovle the balls or what ever of stress i guess
