How much does a massage therapist make a year?

I would like to know how much money a starting/mid career massage therapist makes annually--just by working in a regular spa, nothing fancy yet. Also, if you know of any online colleges that are not too expensive that offer this degree, could you please include links? Thanks in advance. How much does a massage therapist make a year?
$15 an hour and working maybe 30 hours tops is entry level - well that's about $20,000 a year and it is probably less because when you don't have clients you only get paid minimum wage. In a few years you could probably work your way up to $25 an hour.

Most massage therapists start their own business. How much does a massage therapist make a year?
According to government surveys, average hourly earnings, including gratuities, were $16.06 in May 2006. The middle 50% earned between $10.98 and $24.22. The lowest 10% earned less than $7.48, and the highest 10% earned more than $33.83. Generally, massage therapists earn 15 to 20 percent of their income as gratuities. For those who work in a hospital or other clinical setting, however, tipping is not common.

There are no online colleges that offer massage. It is hands-on training. I don't know of any colleges or universities that offer it, only trade schools. Depending on the state/local requirements it takes from 6 months to 1 1/2 years to complete.
