Can a NC licensed massage therapist work a second job as a cocktail waitress without jeopardizing her license?

I want to make some extra money as a cocktail waitress a few nights a week. I heard that doing so many put my massage license in jeopardy. Is there any truth to this? Can a NC licensed massage therapist work a second job as a cocktail waitress without jeopardizing her license?
Certainly. The only problem you might encounter in doing this is practicing message therapy while actually working as a cocktail waitress.

In other words, I would imagine a cocktail waitress would get a lot of opportunities to provide a few ';deep muscle'; massages while on the job... If you get my drift?

That would probably be illegal. Can a NC licensed massage therapist work a second job as a cocktail waitress without jeopardizing her license?
Only if as a waitress

.

She becomes a taster of the products she serves to the customer

.

Not many people want to be near naked with a person for a massage

that can not see the eye chart on the wall as it was meant to be seen

.

Because there is no telling what that person might grab hold of to give a work out with their fingers on

.

A little humor here of course

All in fun

You are not in jeopardy of loosing your license to be a masseur

As long as you are not doing massage at the bar then you do not have a problem.

Being a waitress is not a problem, if you are working at a sexually oriented business, like a strip club, then you might have a problem.

I'm not in NC, but I would contact whatever agency licensed you as a M.T. I wouldn't see any reason why having a second job should have bearing on your MT license.
