Info on massage therapists going on tour with bands etc?

On what basis are they payed?


How much do they have to pay for whilst on tour or is it covered by the band?

It depends on who's paying. And depends on whether you want that kind of lifestyle. I know a friend who is a chiropractor and he toured with a famous and well known singer a few years ago. She paid him equivalent to his annual average salary (6 figures) in addition to while he runs his private practice part time. He was basically on her beck and call, flying all over the US. If he was younger, he would have enjoyed it more, but at his age, the stress of traveling and the addition of being treated as a servant instead of as a doctor is too much. After he had his 15 mins in the spotlight for half a year, he quit and went back to his private practice.





It's not for everyone, but if you're young, don't mind being treated like another staff/servant, want to travel and see the world, and see what it's like touring, then go for it.
