How can we stop prostitutes from passing themselves off as massage therapists??

Grrr! Lately on Houston's Craigslist, there have been hordes of unlicensed people calling themselves therapists, and prostitutes/escorts posting under the therapeutic services category. People like this make real licensed massage therapists look bad. They flag real LMTs' ads, and make the entire massage therapy industry look like a virtual harem. Is there anything that can be done??How can we stop prostitutes from passing themselves off as massage therapists??

Either police sweeps which are short term or state licensing which can be a pain. Other than that not a lot.
So unless you've visited these hookers, so called, how do you know they aren't massage therapists?
Legalize prostitution. That is the only answer that would elimiate these people posing as something else to advertise their wares.
What difference does it make to you? I kinda like prostitutes and the service they provide. Isn't hurting anybody as far as I can see. Live and let live. World would be a much better place if everybody minded their own business.
i have no idea, but i hope something is done. i have back and shoulder problems and i needed a deep tissue massage. the lady they suggested to me turned out to be a lesbian!!! and im a girl!!! ugh, it still gives me the creeps.
Some states have laws regarding the illegal practice of massage therapy (not sure what it is in Texas). The main thing you can do is contact the local unit of a reputable massage organization like the American Massage Therapy Association. They are usually the forerunners on educating the local law enforcers and would probably be your best bet.
