I am going to school for massage therapy, and would really like to do it full time once I am licensed. From what I've heard, this isn't always easy. I'm not expecting to start out making $60,000 a year, but I need to make at least $30,000 to support myself. Any adivce from a professional LMT would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank youAre there any full time massage therapists out there?
My parents are LMT's and it's a nice profession, but it takes a while to build up your clientele. You may/may not make 30k your first year. It's going to depend upon your location and word of mouth from your clientele letting their friends/family know if you are good or not.....Are there any full time massage therapists out there?
There are many very successful massage therapists. It isn't easy but nothing in life really is. Do as many massages as you can in massage school to really get some experience. Read and study as much as you can about marketing and communicating with clients.
Take care of yourself first - get regular massages throughout massage school and when you get out.
