I can't afford university's and i was looking for somewhere local. I live in bremerton, WA . I have heard that Everest College is bad and i was looking for a way to start my schooling.

Yes. Find a school that has classes in your area and see the cost for each. FL only requires the minimum of 500 hours so i finished in 24 weeks full time. I'll be taking the national exam next month to become licensed and be able to work. According to the text book i bought it says that WA only requires 500 hours and licensing as well. Meaning you finish the schooling and take the NCETMB or MBLEx.

You are correct in that Everest is really poor. There are now many others like Everest, poor schools that produce poor therapists. If you spend 1500.00 at a school that is the kind of education you will get. Do your homework and realize that a good school will cost about 10,000. There is a school in Oregon, and if you want to travel there is a good one in Hudson, WI.
