How are erections viewed to a massage therapist?

I was always curious aside from the crudeness that may be associated mentally by most people, is it really offensive, or does it just show them that they are doing a good job?How are erections viewed to a massage therapist?
Erections can and do occur without suggestive provocation by the massage therapist, and erections can occur without specific intent on the part of the man receiving the massage.

It's never, *never* considered a ';sign of a good job';. It's not a compliment. It doesn't make the therapist's day. You aren't paying homage to their skills.

If it happens with neither provocation, nor intent, most massage therapist I've known write it off as a slightly uncomfortable experience.

If an erection occurs with a client with whom it is not unintended and who is trying to ';say something';, then it's grounds for terminating the business/client relationship.

Trust me when I say, massage therapists know if it's an unintended occurrence. How are erections viewed to a massage therapist?
In class, this was covered.

We were told that it is merely a natural occurrence %26amp; to place a towel discretely over the person's private, and continue on with the massage as if nothing changed. As other posters mentioned, females can also reach arousal, just less obvious.

That is why I choose to just massage female clients.

I've been a massage therapist for a little over a year and I've only had that happen once. So it's not something that we deal with very often. It's obvious he wasn't trying to be sexual, because he was clearly very embarrassed. I wasn't offended, but I was a little embarrassed and didn't know what to do.
It shouldn't be viewed at all. Keep that little chubby under wraps.

The last time I got a massage, sex was the last thing on my mind. it was for back pain and I thought he was gonna kill me, with all the kneading and pulling and pushing, It felt great and the pain was gone but it wasn't a sexy time. You may need a different masseuse.
good job and maybe guys don't want there girlfriends to give them a message because they suck and they don't feel like they owe them something back. you want to relax after a message not have sex.
Switch to a male and see if it happens. I do understanding sometimes things just happen. A true professional knows this and ignores it.
Ok first of all, if a guy gets an erection by getting a massage at a spa, then he needs to get something checked out. You shouldn't be there to get turned on. Massage = Relaxation. That comes off as rude to the person performing the massage. Another thing is, if the person performing the massage is doing something they shouldn't, then that needs to be said to the manager immediately. If you want to get turned on, get a massage by your girfriend if she is ok with that. (And for those of you who disagree with me, it's call morals and self-control. Live by it!)
